i want to be added what do i do:

+ HOORAY, i'm glad you do! ADD ME then comment on this post. as stated above, a random add will result in banning 99.9% of the time. wouldn't you agree that it is rude?
+ as of 10/20/2009 i am requesting that you fill out this small survey:

+ why do i want to know this information? because i want us to be friends. it makes me sad when there are people on my flist that i barely know. besides, aren't you adding me because you want to get to know me? if you are curious about me, please visit my information post available through my tagged entries. otherwise you can view my interests in my profile page.

why was i not added back:

+ i do have some standards for lj-friends. chances are i will add you but there are a few reasons i will not:
ONE if you neglected to A) add me before requesting to be added back, B) added me without commenting on this post, or C) did not fill out the small survey i now require... it's tiny and not time consuming, plus it's for your benefit so i can get to know YOU.
TWO if your journal is less than a year old. it's nothing personal, i may not add you based on this for several reasons... mainly because those just starting journals often lose interest, and then abandon it. if you are starting a new journal but are not new to LJ please indicate this to me. also, realize that just because your journal is new doesn't mean i'm automatically going to decline your request.
THREE you are too young. if the age gap is large enough i feel that we will seldom relate to one another. i am almost 21, i would like to be friends with people who are going through similar things in life, so that we may bond better.
FOUR on rare occasions, i've found the journals of people adding me to be distasteful. if the content of your journal offends me, i obviously will refuse your request.

i would like to be removed from your flist:

+ i am sorry to hear that. all you need to do is remove me from your friends. when i notice that i have one less friend i will remove you also.
+ if you want to be removed because you are leaving LJ, but want to remain in touch, please let me know prior to removing me, OR contact me via one of the methods i have listed in my contact post (which can be found through my tags).
